Image Resizer: How to use

Resize product photos to exact pixels with padding, cropping or stretching.

  1. Choose one or more supported images.
  2. Contain preserves the full image with padding. Cover fills the canvas and may crop the edges. Stretch changes the proportions.
  3. Process, inspect the result and download.

Use case and output checks

To place a landscape photo in a square product card, choose contain to keep the entire product with padding, cover to fill the square by cropping, or stretch only when distortion is acceptable. Inspect the product edges and confirm actual downloaded dimensions. Dimensions alone do not guarantee a platform will accept the image.

Supported files and limits

JPG, PNG, WebP

Maximum 16,000 pixels per side and 40 million output pixels. JPG outputs use a solid background for transparent areas.

Troubleshooting

Contain, cover and stretch solve different layout needs. A square destination cannot preserve a landscape shape and fill every pixel without either padding, cropping or distortion.
